Dezember evokes an almost fairy-tale atmosphere of stillness, grandeur, and mysterious shelter. The monumental larch trees seem to be drawn together by an invisible magnetic force, forming an enclosed space in which time itself appears to stand still.

The near-monochromatic palette achieves an almost photographic effect through oil paint. Fine, hairline branches incised into the painted surface contrast with the monumental forms—a metaphor for life's delicate equilibrium.

The work explores the ambivalent relationship between humanity and nature: what offers shelter and a sense of security simultaneously reveals our own smallness and vulnerability. Here, harmony does not imply safety, but rather the possibility of peaceful coexistence between strength and fragility, protection and exposure.
