On the Water unfolds as a lush, dreamlike pictorial world in which organic forms and fragmented structures emerge and dissolve within layered shades of turquoise, green, white, and blue.

What initially appears to be treetops and sky reveals itself, upon closer inspection, as a reflection on the surface of water. The painting thus creates an ambiguous space between abstraction and nature, reality and illusion. It invites viewers to question their own perception: What is truly there, what merely appears to be—and how reliable is our view of the world?

Patterns, chance, and hidden underlying laws permeate the composition. They become metaphors for the invisible structures that shape both the natural world and human coexistence.
