One in a Million II turns its attention to a single leaf—the individual within the collective. Marked by time, wounded and perforated, it bears the traces of vulnerability and lived experience. Its delicate, lace-like structure speaks of loss without succumbing to it. What remains reveals a remarkable resilience.

The leaf becomes a metaphor for a life that has endured adversity without losing its identity. Fragility and strength coexist: it is precisely through the damage that its inner structure becomes visible.

Although separated from the tree, the leaf retains the memory of the larger organism to which it once belonged. Like every human being, it is unique—one life among millions, yet irreplaceable.
